Check the source and context
We compare the claim with primary or otherwise reliable evidence, including whether the source changed after publication or the issue is a disagreement rather than an error.
Correct material errors
If a material claim is wrong or materially incomplete, we update the wording, citations, and reviewed date. When useful to readers, we add a visible correction note describing the substance of the change.
Keep the boundary clear
We can correct our own published material, but we do not adjudicate identity from a candidate face match or control information on third-party source pages.

Material corrections update the affected statement, supporting source, and reviewed date. A correction note may summarise what changed and why. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, or non-substantive link repairs may be fixed without a separate note.
